A useful MOSAIK pilot should not begin with “build an AI platform.” It should begin with one recurring decision that experienced employees currently reconstruct from fragmented evidence.
Imagine a supplier-onboarding team receiving two current-looking work instructions. One reflects the standard process. Another contains a regional variation. An approved exception exists in an email, but the reasoning behind it was never added to either document.
An experienced employee can reconstruct the answer by checking the files, ERP history, correspondence, and people involved. A new employee or general-purpose AI may select the wrong instruction with complete confidence.
One decision class. One responsible owner. A bounded set of authorized evidence. A result that can be reviewed, replayed, and recovered.
The pilot focuses on this single decision class: which instruction governs the supplier exception, and why?
Bounded Reasoning
Define the exact question, permitted sources, operating constraints, responsible process owner, and conditions that require escalation. The system is not asked to understand supplier onboarding generally. It is asked to prepare one reviewable decision.
Intelligent Distribution
Ludwig assembles the minimum authorized context and routes each part of the work to the simplest eligible capability. Deterministic tools compare versions and dates. Retrieval locates approved exceptions. An AI capability summarizes conflicts and prepares a recommendation.
Governance
Every statement remains visibly connected to its source. Evidence, interpretation, inference, recommendation, and human decision are kept distinct. The system may prepare the decision, but it cannot inherit authority to approve the supplier or change the process.
Execution
The process owner approves, rejects, or amends the recommendation. MOSAIK records the decision, its evidence, the applicable exception, and the authority behind it. The next employee receives both the answer and the context that makes the answer valid.
What the pilot measures
- Time required to reach a review-ready answer
- Rework caused by missing or conflicting information
- Unsupported statements and human corrections
- Completeness of the evidence and decision trace
- Ability to replay a completed case
- Ability to replace the AI model without rebuilding organizational context
The pilot succeeds when the organization can reach the same decision more consistently, explain why it is valid, preserve human authority, and change the underlying AI capability without losing accumulated operating knowledge.
